Since Easter 2008 our Catchment Management Authority has stripped the
section featured in this article of most of the willow trees.
In saying that there are still
plenty of regions that hold a good population of willow, including the lower
region of the Rubicon and the Goulburn River, so it will be a few years yet
before the willow removal program kills off what could become a major
tourism boost for this area.

The area featured in this article was just upstream from Tumbling Waters
reserve. The shots above depict
what it was like pre Easter and two months later.
